While in that locale, Sister Lois was a regular volunteer at the Mississippi Market Coop, doing most any task needed. She created connections among her family, friends and community. There was a problem volunteering for this cemetery. Sister Agnes loved growing up on a farm and being outdoors; her family grew vegetables and raised chickens to sell. Playing cards and putting jigsaw puzzles together also gave her great pleasure. She was in the sixty-eighth year of her religious profession. She then returned to St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing to teach and later assist with the transition of the school to the baccalaureate degree nursing program at Viterbo University.
